Mason + Marion Mountain Goat
Sure footing helps them rise to snowy tops

Found only above the timberline in the Coastal and Rocky Mountain regions of North America, rocky mountain goats have black, shiny horns, a long white coat, and a thick beard. Billies, or males, usually have longer horns and beards than the females, called nannies. Their thick coats protect them from the harsh mountain weather, and hooves cushioned with skid-proof pads help them climb up cliffs predators can’t reach. They’re pretty good jumpers and their short legs, while not very suitable for running, help them maintain their balance. They feed on almost any grasses, flowers, ferns, or shrubs they find. Their rutting (or breeding) season is between November and January. Females only have one or two kids at a time. They can live up to twelve years.
