Manufacturing Principles

Caboodle! Toys adheres to global workplace and business practice standards

Caboodle! Toys is concerned with the safety and well-being of those individuals who make toys in factories around the world. We wish to ensure the responsible manufacture and distribution of toys in communities both overseas and in the United States. As such, Caboodle! Toys conforms to global workplace and business practice standards. In particular, we follow the Code of Business Practices developed by the International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI), a group of eighteen toy associations. To confirm adherence to such standards, Steve and Janet, the co-founders of Caboodle! Toys, visited our manufacturing facility and met with the facility’s executive, management, sample, artistic, and production teams. In addition, we ensure that our subcontractors follow the aforementioned practices and guidelines by conducting periodic checks. Caboodle! Toys is an adamant proponent of ICTI’s CARE Process (Caring, Aware, Responsible, Ethical).

In short, Caboodle! Toys upholds the principles that no underage, forced, or prison labor be employed; that no one be denied a job based on gender, ethnic origin, or religious association or affiliation; and that manufacturing facilities comply with laws aimed at protecting the environment. Caboodle! Toys further maintains that employees be paid for all hours worked, that wages be compensated at legally mandated rates, that employees are extended full freedom of expression and association, and that workplaces are equipped with suitable health treatments and emergency planning.

Caboodle! Toys remains prepared to end business relationships with those who do not comply with its overarching principles. Caboodle! Toys is an active member of the Toy Industry Association, Inc. (TIA).
